BLONDIED - A TRIBUTE TO BLONDIE
BLONDIED - A Tribute To Blondie....
By the UK's premier Blondie / Debbie Harry tribute band, featuring Michelle Hendriks. Blondied were formed 15 years ago, as a result of an appearance by lead singer, Michelle Hendriks on ITV's 'Stars and Their Doubles' show.
Michelle was selected from thousands of look-alikes and her excellent rendition of 'Sunday Girl', along with her striking resemblance to Debbie Harry, generated so much interest from both booking agents and venues, that the next logical step for Michelle was to form a Blondie tribute band, to satisfy the obvious demand!
Blondied band members have travelled far and wide and they've worked in countries all over the world, including Germany, Denmark, Canada, Dubai, Russia & Japan.
Blondie's appeal is far reaching and covers both the 70's and 80's decades. Attracting a wide audience, of all ages, makes Blondied the perfect choice for any event. Blondied have appeared at many high calibre festivals including the massive Spa Tribute Festival in Belgium, where they played to an audience of over 15,000. To top last year's success in Belgium, Blondied were privileged to perform at the Silverstone Grand Prix F1, final race day, after-show party where the audience topped 25,000! This year Blondied were delighted to be asked to perform at the very prestigious, REWIND FESTIVALS They have also become resident Blondie tribute on BUTLINS 70'S WEEKENDER events! As well as being an uncanny Debbie Harry lookalike, Michelle also has the ability to perfectly emulate Debbie's distinctive voice when performing her songs.
There are many costume changes within the show, including several outfits modelled on Debbie Harry's original costumes. Added to this, Michelle's movements and expressions are absolutely spot-on, transporting the audience back in time to the late '70s, early 80's where Blondie's rise to fame first began.
The Blondied set includes many of Blondie's hits spanning their whole career, from 'Heart of Glass' and 'Hanging on the Telephone', to their more recent work, such as the 'comeback' single from 'No Exit', 'Maria', even 2 new tracks from Blondie's more recent albums, The Panic of Girls' and Pollinator can be included in the set.
